cheapest of cheap Sold Secure gold...

Postby rowlers » Fri Jan 18, 2013 21:22 pm

Anyone point me in the direction of a cheap as chips 1.5m-2m gold secure chain/cable/lock....
Terms of insurance require and gold std. lock, which I have, but it is not long enough to go under my shed into the ground anchor.

At the moment I have a fairly beefy chain going inti the ground anchor, and my gold secure chain passes through this and my bikes. I don't think Mr insurer will like this so....?

Any pointers?

Even the expensive ones are 'get passable' so a cheap as chips one is likely to be no use at all (and therefore unlikely to be Gold Secure).

It amazes me that people spend £1000's on bikes and then grumble about a few £100 when it comes to trying to keep it.

I'm really not fussed if it gets nicked! as long as the insurance pays out, hence the need for a gold secure chain!
Its not like it has any sentimental value is it!

And at the end of the day, if a thief wants it - it don't matter what lock is on it they'll bring the tools need to get it!
So I don't care how sh|t it is as long its GOLD!

Almax chains. If a thief manages to get through one of those, then they deserve the bike !
