Its a shame to hear that

Rideit33 - fyi I'm sure there are plenty of trails in your area. I live a just north of Brands Hatch and often ride along the North Downs Way/Pilgrims Way which is frequented by quite a few MTB'ers. You've also got Bedgebury (down Tonbridge way I think) which has purpose built MTB trails probably longer than the BikeRadar Live ones. I haven't been myself, but hear good reports about it. Welcome to the world of cycling!

2nd Bedgebury, done a quick reveiw here:

Plus you can also ride ride Bewl Water for something easy down that way.

Also grab an OS map of Sevenoaks/Tonbridge area and you find loads of Bridleways etc. If you look at the roughguides MTB for the North/South downs there is a route in there which is near Brands Hatch, starts @ Vigo Village.

There's also the Penshurst Off-Road Club (PORC) also near to Tonbridge.
