I notice that there's a few people having track taster sessions at Manchester, and thought this list below might be helpfull. Most should be able to arrange a taster session for you, and local cycling clubs will normally run training sessions and hold track leagues (Summer for Outdoor, Winter for Indoor).

Brighton - Preston Park (Outdoor)
Cardiff - Maindy Cycle Track (Outdoor)
Dundee - Caird Park (Outdoor)
Edinburgh - Meadowbank (Indoor)
Halesown - Manor Abbey Sports Ground (Outdoor)
London - Herne Hill (Outdoor)
Manchester - National Cycling Centre (Indoor)
Newport - Wales National Velodrome (Indoor)

Newcastle Under Lyme - Lyme Valley Stadium (Outdoor)

Portsmouth - The Mountbatten Centre (Outdoor)

Reading - Palmer Park Sports Stadium (Outdoor)
http://www.readingvelodromeracing.co.uk for Track League - Starts 21/04/08
http://www.palmerparkvelo.com for 4-18 year olds

Southampton - Calshot (Indoor)
Welwyn Garden City - Gosling Sports Park (Outdoor)

Wolverhampton - Aldersley Stadium (Outdoor)
- Freewheel Track Training sessions Wednesday @7pm, Friday @ 6.30pm for Children, 7.30pm for Adults. Track League starts 07.05.08

If anyone wants to give me details about their local velodrome, I'll add it to the list above.[/url]

Palmer Park Velo seems like a good set up Eddy, and I like the Reading Velodrome website

PPV is a great initiative for the young riders and is run by a few very dedicated individuals. It will turn out some great riders in the future and is already 'producing' good racers. Some of the juniors who race with the seniors at the TL are already giving us old-uns a hard time. 8)

You'll have to come have a 'guest' ride at the one of the TL meetings - it's even better then the web site! :)

you can also find one or two club organised drop in sessions that dont require accreditation, and will accomodate beginners, but you need to know someone who knows....
