Nalini jersey sizing

Postby MajorMantra » Fri Dec 25, 2009 12:53 pm

I'm thinking of getting a Nalini jersey but am a bit puzzled by the sizing. Probikekit says a size 2 is for a 30-32" chest but this seems to contradict other sites that say 34-36" or so. Can anyone shed light on this? I'm concerned a 2 won't be small enough as I'm an XS in most brands.

Cheers, and happy Christmas all. :D

Not trying to hijack the thread but would also like to know about Nalini sizing as considering a pair of bib shorts so need to know if they are small made or not?

TIA :)

Hi Kev, I'll just take the hijack as a free bump. :)

Actually, have a go at using google to search bikeforums.net - there are some quite useful threads there about Nalini and PBK bib sizing. Don't use their search as it's rubbish.

Cheers,
Matthew

Nalini stuff is slightly small in my experience, like all Italian brands, i would also buy a size up from normal sizes.

I am a 32" waist and am a L in bib shorts, I even have a pair of XL that fit well enough!

I dont have experience of shirts.

Try, if its the wrong size, u can send it back...

I know. Thing is, I take an XS in Italian sizes so I have trouble finding really small kit. (I wear XS Santini bibs for example.) Hence why I want to know if the Nalini size 2 is more like a small or an Xsmall.

For anyone who's interested I've now established that a size 2 really is more of a Small than an Xtra Small. I have a 33" chest and the size 2 was too big. PBK's chart is simply wrong - they list it as being for a 30-32" chest.

Now, does anyone know if there's a supplier that stocks size 1 Nalini kit?

There is a catalgue from chicken cycle-kit with this months C+. The Nalini kit is listed and on page 33 they point out that:

Nalini size 'M' is a UK size 'S'

So I guess this means that you buy a Nalini size bigger than you'd normally wear.

I believe that is correct. However, as I mentioned above, I need an XS in ITALIAN sizes, not UK. There isn't a single UK manufacturer that makes jerseys small enough for me.

Hello,

Resurrecting this thread for some advice if possible please :)

Really like the Nalini polka dot jersey, which I don't think they do in a ladies fit. So wondering what men's size you would recommend for a woman?

I agree sizing chart on PBK website seems completely wrong, especially if you compare to that on DotBike website .....
http://www.dotbike.com/nalini_clothing_size_chart.aspx

I normally wear a size 8, approx 31-32" chest. Do you reckon the size 2 would be too big given the anatomical differences ;)!? I want to get my husband one too, he is on the small size of a 38" chest, do you think a size 3 would fit?

Hope you have found something that fits you!
Thanks
Cath

Perhaps same with other Italian brands too.

I have a pair of Briko bibs which I picked-up when in Italy

It has a label in the back
Italy = XL
Germany = -L
UK = L
Japan = XXL
USA = M

OK, Japanese are a small race, obviously Italians are smaller than us Brits and Germans, and presumably Americans are fat b*s !
