Hey Lawman, any further updates on how she's riding out on the trails? I'm thinking of building up an Ibis but not sure the geometry meets my needs. Would you say it's more XC than All Mountain? Not too sure on the idea of carbon.
On a slightly cheeky note, I see your icons a guitar player. I've got a Ric 360 (6 string semi-acoustic) and a Cornford Hurricane amp for sale http://bit.ly/i7GW2b
if you or anyone else is interested - I'll certainly be needing the funds for an Ibis!!!
hi crundi, she's riding like an absolute hooligan!!! took it round cannock for the first time last night and its by far and away the quickest bike ive ever ridden round there, both up and down, which is incredible, i knew it would be good on the downs, but jesus on the climbs for a bike of its travel its truly fantastic, could not be happier with it, well a few more green blingy bits are still needed and will be added over time once the wallet recovers
geometry is definitely on the AM side of things imo, but its a touch steeper than say a whyte 146, but feels comparable to a zesty and a meta, so its super stable but still very flickable. as for the carbon, i dont even think about it, i was worried at first but after riding it like a muppet last night, carrying far too much speed most of the time im pretty convinced that carbon is the way to go for trail bikes if you can afford it.
as for the guitars im set with what ive got atm, im seriously poor as it is, and i very nearly sacrificed a guitar to build this, ive been told i'm not to spend anymore, but ill ask around and see if i know anyone whos interested
got a photographer friend of mine to take a few quick shots yesterday afternoon, certainly alot better than my poor old efforts
