updated once again, after bowing to to experience i have now ditched the bolt through rear end and managed to get the appropriate part to refit my maxle and after a dirty ride round gisburn all is well, i have also fitted some new hope tech x2 levers and calipers which are a big improvement over the juicy 3's
so here is the full spec list
pike u-turn coils with 20mm maxle
saint r/h shifter and rear mech fitted with kcnc alloy red jockey wheels
deore crank arms with renthal 32t ring and red kcnc bolts
superstar red bottom bracket
mrp guide
race face red atlas bars
race race respond stem
superstar grips
superstar gto headset and spacers
hope eternity seatost
charge spoon saddle
superstar jewel seat clamp
wtb rims with formula 20mm and 12mm hubs
maxxis high rollers
superstar ignite pedals with red pins

planning on getting some pimp wheels off superstar in the not to distant future and hopefully a revelation fork if i am not divorced before hand

They're great fun, but it's a shame you only have it for the weekend

Hang on a minute. What kind of rear dropout is that? It looks like a QR, but the actual dropout doesn't appear to have a slot to get the wheel in.
Is is some curious maxle type thing? (If it is, I'll be slightly annoyed, as I was looking to replace my maxle dropouts with something more secure for a while  )

yeh its a 12x135mm maxle, never had a maxle before on the rear so dont know what they are like, but it appears to be a 9mm qr going through a 12mm bolt through see pics below

Well that's peculiar. Mine's a maxle too, but doesn't look like that :?
(mine is also my first encounter with a rear maxle)
Is one of them a maxle light or semething? I honestly don't know.

this is what mine looks like, apparentley the small end nut you see on the cassette side has been replaced by what is normally found on 9mm qr's,

I had a tough job getting my maxle out the other day to change the tyre.
I had to bang the thing out.
made sure i greased it when it went back in though.
Nice BTW

they are a bit of a pain rear maxles, and my original one had a part missing and look scruffy with the bodgit qr bolt i was using so thought this superstar bolt was a good replacement and its red

Would that maxle fit a wolfridge 6.9?
I mangled to edge of the maxle when I pulled it out.

should do if its 12x135mm maxle dropout, if you require a 12x142 you may need to look elsewhere, this is a complete replacement with a hollow bolt and doing away wth the lever, using a nut instead

Erm, that's not a maxle fit, in their own words...

NOTE- Does not replace maxle type axles
