Hi Colin

I'm 6ft too, and when I bought my Cannondale Trail 29er a few weeks ago I went for a Large which is 18.7" according to this:

Fits me pefectly.

Many thanks. Looks a great bike. I was thinking of getting the new specialized carve pro.

I'm 5'11" and ride a 19" 29er. Best to try though as on the GF Paragon HT I have the seat well forward and a 70mm stem but on the GF Rumblefish the seat is right back and a 90mm stem. These both had 100mm + stems as standard so were a long stretch which lead to the rear wheel spinning easily on steep hills. I set the seat relative to the cranks first and then change the stem to suit the reach.

Probably the same size as you normally ride, but it'll vary depending on how the manufacturer actually measures the seat tube.

I tend to go on virtual top tube length more than seat tube height to guestimate whether a bike is suitable for me or not

EDIT: I'm 6'2" and ride a 17" 26er, an 18" 26er and a 20" 29er, all regularly, this is what I mean when I say it varies
