Just got in from Ludgershall... Managed sod all today. It was supposed to be 3/4ths but was split due to large numbers. Unfortunatly it ended up joint for the last couple of laps. Way too many people! How nobody went down I have no idea...

Mate I rode in Ludgershall today it was an absolute nightmare. No room to move, I had 2 or 3 close calls with people into the side of me. 80 riders and people riding like idiots as usual. That wasn't racing that was trying to make it to the end without crashing. They need to split the 3rd and 4ths into separate races!

Wouldnt you be better off using this series as full on training at this time of the year and keep yourself safe? I have raced on narrow crit style circuits, but never again for me.. far too many idiotic risk takers... even doing it when way back from any chance of a place...whats that all about?

Yeah you are probably right. Once it got dangerous it didnt really seem worth trying to get through. I'd already had one smack in the face from a low hanging branch. Are there any photos from these races?

It may be worth checking out if the organising club has a forum and if anyone has posted up to Flickr or Photobucket account... if you see anyone hanging about with a Canon EOS, worth a word with them.

Updated mine to include the last race and some other ramblings.

I think i might give Hog Hill a go this saturday. If i can figure out a way to get there from Bristol that doesnt cost a fortune... Does anyone know if there is a safe place I can leave a bike box at the circuit? I dont drive, so would need to get a combination of buses and trains.

I'm also thinking of doing Hog Hill, not sure I can be arsed with the trek though.
