Where did you ride today?

Got a general MTB question that doesn't fit anywhere else? Here's the place.

Yesterday was 15 miles around rivington with mates then a wet 15mile trek home on my own.
Going to tackle peel tower in the morning, no idea of the best way so should be fun.

Local forest. Did some trailbuildng, was in a great riding mind and hitting the trails faster then ever. All fine until got back to the carpark when the rear shock decided to wee-wee oil everywhere... Guess it doesn't like tarmac.

Made it over to the Peaks for only the second time. Started out from Fairholme and tried to ride Cut Gate, big mistake. Never ridden it before, and with pretty deep snow still sitting on the top of the moor and covering the trail it was not much fun. Turned back (because Im a pansy) about halfway to Langsett reservoir and then did Hagg Side instead just to add a bit of mileage. Wet, cold, muddy and a lot of fun.

No riding for me today but a great ride out yesterday in the lakes. Set off from Ambleside then went onto iron keild, hodge close, tilberthwaite, little langdale, elterwater and then finish off with loughrigg terrace. Considering its a bank holiday there was surprisingly few walkers about.

Nice big local loop. Trying to get my ars* back in gear and did 30km with my mate. I only started this time last year and he only got back into at about the same time. Took us over two hours to crawl around Cwmcarn back then. Today we hit some local DH tracks, a trail we've built, a section of Cwmcarn and covered a ton of ground. It felt damm good. A ride to remind you why you started in the first place.

I did Lee Quarry and the first half (curtailed due to stupid wind levels) of Cragg Quarry yesterday, and am going to do red then blue at Llandegla tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get to Lee and Cragg on Saturday morning too.

Llandegla Red then Blue this afternoon. Perfect conditions. Busy car park but not that many people on the trails (or we were all going the same speed, which would be surprising as I'm pretty slow).

Rhossili down, Gower, South Wales. 22 miles, 1 cheesburger consumed, 2 horse riders spooked (sorry), 4 sheep chased, 1 mate crashed. Pissed down, love it.

Nice to do a bit of oldschool xc once in a while...

I did 30km around Rivington and Darwen again. Good conditions and more unexplored territory conquered. Managed to clock 42mph on the road back to the van which was great, my legs couldn't go any faster.

bit unoriginal but did follow the dog and most of the monkey trail at cannock today.was my first time properly off road and had a blast. was chuffed as kept up with my far more experienced mates ( although im pretty sure they slowed down for the others anyway ) i also hadnt fallen off UNTIL the last little bit of flat section. my tire spun on a root and i came to a standstill. put my foot down but my legs literally couldnt hold me up. ended up lying on the floor laughing! mate had a fairly big off though. hit a stump on a descent which chucked him to the side straight into a tree. craked his helmet and took a big knock to his shoulder. and some say helmets dont work!

Did an awesome little local loop around the Caerphilly area - through the top of Van woods, down to Rudry, Draethen and back again. About 10 miles in all. Awesome.

Old Railway lines -> Archallagan plantation -> Stoney Mountain -> South Barrule plantation -> Arrasey plantation -> Slieu Whallian -> Old Railway lines back home again.

Just under 30mi all told. Bionic man on a Bionicon getting back on form.
New knee feels good though :)

Did a lap round Cwmcarn Twrch today on the Canyon. 1st time I attempted the full red on the big bike since having my Boardman nicked.
Did it in about 1hr50, uses to take me 1hr40 on the Boardman so well happy!

Have made a compilation of all the good bits at CC from today too as the weather was lush... Keep an eye out in the vids bit!

Out in the dust in Swinley today. Funny how your local trails become soooo much sweeter when its dry. I only saw mud once, and bunny hopped it.
