If that won't motivate me to stay minutes ahead of him, I don't know what will.

But on a serious note, ditch the headphones. You'll be DQ'd if any of the officials notice.

Something popped up off the road and went through my front wheel. Big snap and spoke gone. Rubbish. Need another spare bike.

Chuffing Nora! Wtf was up today?

1. It was freezing
2. I had a NE headwind this morning, presumably blowing from the high Arctic.
3. I had a SW headwind this evening, presumably blowing from the low Antartic.
4. That's a double headwind day, in case you weren't counting (I was).
5. Did I mention that it was freezing?

Did one of you b@stards fiddle around with the thermostat while I've been away? It was almost summer when I left.
Swim. Bike. Run. Yup, that's definitely what I'm supposed to be doing.

As I was going up Spankers, saw Okgo coming towards me at a rate of knots like a man possessed. Turns out he was doing a bit of FTP testing. Spankers.

Saw someone is some really awful Viner kit as well. Made me nearly vom.

Had a chap on a SS Chrome Bianchi make a pass, so had to show him some speed and regained my pride

Picked up a few drafters in Regents Park as well, and then had a good half lap with a chap on a very nice Lynsky bike. Few words exchanged, even said thanks for the tow :)

That was me :-)

I WFH on Mondays, so usually try to get out for a few laps in the afternoon. I was on my 4th when we had that half lap and I was quietly glad you pulled off when you did; I was pushing a bit hard to keep that effort at a good pace, and then to get back on your wheel after you moved up

Nice to meet you and thanks for the company.

Yarp.

I wish people would turn that thermostat back up and stop messing with the turbo fan.

Also, bored of rain now.

I can't believe the double headwind day!

Ride home tonight was OK though, spotted by alan d. on his scooter (I should have tucked in). Also, rode most of the way down CS7 with a guy on a Giant and brown shorts that was keeping an good pace (I think you/he might be on here) and kept swapping lead until somewhere around Tooting when I pulled away one last time and didn't see him again :(.

Lets hope the wind gods are in my favour tomoz, and my scalp stays intact.
