Which Merckx Book?

Postby Secteur » Sun Jul 08, 2012 17:19 pm

There's two Merckx books out, buth recently released for the kindle - Friebe and Fotherington - can anyone suggest which is the better book?

I read somewhere that one has more detail inc childhood etc which I'm not so bothered about. I just want the one which is more readable and captivating...

Any suggestions (will be buying tonight!)

Never heard of Friebe but Fotheringham is a good objective author and very readable.

I've read Fotheringham's books on Simpson and Coppi and enjoyed them both. He's an excellent writer and gets as much detail as possible without being judgmental.
I'm currently reading his book on Merckx and so far it's just as good.

I too will happily recommend Will Fotheringham, he writes a good book.

Read them both back to back. Enjoyed them both and they actually complement each other pretty well.

Friebe writes for pro-cycling.
