Cheers! Should be no nonsense fun lol! Hoping to do some longer XC events on it, Wentwood Enduro next March for starters!

Ahh I didn't know that actually! may have a play, although reviews suggest it handles much better at 100mm!

Looking like a bit of a franken-bike at the mo, but the build is going ok. Used about 50mm headset spacers to get the stem on tight, can't be arsed cutting the steerer yet!

Annoyingly, the groupset came with the wrong type of front mech as it sits too high and fowls on one of the bottle bosses. Luckily its low enough to work so will do for now!

Aye tis a bit of a pain... tbh I bought the groupset before I got the frame lol! Knew there would be something that doesn't fit!

Will pop them an email and keep my fingers crossed, they have the 10sp xt mech for £20 so if they'll take if back and charge a tenner or something I'll be happy!

That looks a lot like my old frame. Nice to see you have kept the ratty EBC sticker :)

Did you get it from a guy in Northamptonshire?

Was a great bike bike, I ran it with 115mm Reba SLs up front and a 90mm stem.

Cheers, picked up a normal Deore front mech for £15, the other can go in the spares bin or in the classified!

Update:

Tyres arrived and fitted, personally I think they look spot on! They're Charge Splashbacks in 1.8 flava, should be perfect for the trails round here as it drains pretty well in the wet and these are supposed to be a dry - intermediate tyre.

Finally had a sit on the bike too! Sooooo glad its not the bigger frame, this feels spot on. Need to move some spacers obv lol.. but it feels great.

Oh and Supersonic - this wheels are superb!! (I know i've mentioned it loads, but I still can't believe the price!!).

Know what you mean about the wheels (bought some too ) thought they had mistakenly put pair instead of front! . Love the tyres with the old skool skinwalls! I found an old Maxxis something in the old dears shed that came on my '96 MTrax it had skinwalls and i was caught in some "scooby doo" style reminiscing of some of my old rides LMAO! Good job with the Lobster.

Thanks.

DISAAAASSTEERRRRR!!!!

Well not quite.

The 160mm front brake adapter doesn't work with the fork as its curved so it fouls on the IS mount bracket.

Grr!! was hoping to get it up and running tonight! LBS tomorrow I think!

A file? take a bit of excess material off and voila? You might not have a file to hand of course! I know I don't. But B&Q is probably still open!
