I culled a number of segments I made since well I felt they where a bit pointless, also had a fiddle with one to try to get to give more likely to give honest readings ie a short but high speed one.

It works both ways...

Hit Lidl Camera @28.9, rising to 30 after 10 seconds then the next 20 were all above 30 (max 31.7) and it flagged my run at average 28.5! I would have expected a 30 or 30.5 av on that.

Are you talking about this? Where are you getting these numbers? Your speed graph never gets over 29mph that I can see, so I don't see why 28.5mph would be an unreasonable average.

That was Thursday - Friday was this...

He had to do the catching up there, hence why a better time than I ;)

I might revisit that little section there...
Nice ride today, glad that I wasn't rushing to work.

Not rushing he says... LOL

Ah I see - if you do the click+drag thing I mentioned in one of my previous posts, it recalculates your average speed for the segment as 30.5mph :) They really could do a lot to make their timings more accurate, the data is obviously there for them to do it.

helped an awful lot, if I'm honest

You know when you get your 2nd best time on a segment and it's all... oh well, try harder next time, that is until you see it's exactly the same damn time as your best.

Really ******* annoying that

Sadly they are "Strava miles" rather than real miles.

Grrrrr. Someone took my KOM from Tooting Broadway to Bec by 1 second, and I can't get it back (now in NZ). Can one of the SCR bods please take it back on my behalf?

PS - NZ is good and I can't wait for the bike to arrive, already checking out the hills arround me for KOM possibilities

Crown Hill, North Shore, it should get the legs working once the bike shows in late November.
