Storck 185 Ultra-Comfort seatpost - worth it?

Postby RJKflyer » Sun Oct 07, 2012 19:59 pm

I've just got a fabulous Enigma Echo and with it comes the standard Enigma carbon monocoque seatpost. I originally ordered a Storck 185 U-C following rave reviews, but it's taking an age to appear.

Also, I am amazed at how smooth riding the bike is and am now wondering whether to bother with the Storck? One piece of data for you - I have probably only ca. 150-170mm of exposed seatpost so my fear is that the value of going to the Storck may be limited over the Enigma.

If you're happy with the way the bike rides now, why spend the coin on what will most likely be an indiscernible difference in ride comfort?

I agree with "Gill", why spend the cash for another seatpost when you've already got a great riding bike. If you like how it rides now, dont change it.

Understand your responses - my point being that I spec'd it with the Storck, paid for it and am (long) awaiting delivery hence asking whether I should continue my wait or try to cancel it...

That is up to you. If you're happy with the Enigma one, I wouldn't be hanging around waiting for the Storck one which will or will not appear imo. And as grill said, it's just a seatpost, you won't be noticing that much difference.
