a mate of mine has set up a strava league on facebook featuring a different segment every week for 11 weeks - it did start as a uni group but all the local clubs are joining in and its resulted in over 20 riders taking on the hill so far this week
cracking idea!
i need more bikes

MapMyRide have started a similar thing to segments called "courses"... As there aren't as many set up you can do what I have done and set up your local climbs

I have about 17 Koms now :)

...until everyone else gets on it of course.

Don't know Regents Park but I imagine you have next to no chance if its anything like Richmond Park. London is full of segments though, pretty much wherever you ride, so also plenty to go for.

I was surprised to find Richmond Park KOM is only currently around 24mph.

52 at the minute (although a couple have a QOM faster than me, but you still get it), I'm pretty sure the most any forum member has is 1071 (although QOM's mostly)... so some way to go for me.

Doubt I'll managed 26mph, I'll take it one step at a time, 21mph first and work up, I'd need to be in a good mood and feel good to do anything over 22mph and that is a rarity.

I've got about 4 pages of KOM's but their all worthless half of them are junk.

There is a segment I know I could easilly get, well a few, 24mph over Cable Street is easy assuming no stops, but damn it's impossible unless you're going through red lights or are waiting at red lights then sprinting over 30mph.

That Mint Street one you mentioned looks achievable. Apparently I have ridden it before, but I'm way down the leaderboard - can't remember why I was riding that way and was obviously pootling...
