So what are the implications for DaveB now that Michael Barry has come out?

A dossier running to more than 1,000 pages accusing Lance Armstrong of being at the centre of the “most sophisticated, professionalised and successful doping programme that sport has ever seen” is to be published later on Wednesday.

One of my first reactions when that broke today...

when Landis went public in 2010 he included Barry in his claims. Barry denied it in a statement he posted on his website. DB said that he would question Barry etc. IF Barry lied to DB as he lied in his personal statement, then it will be embarrassing but not catastrophic. But IF it comes to light that he fessed up to DB and DB did nothing....WHOLE different story...

“most sophisticated, professionalised and successful doping programme that sport has ever seen”

There are probably some scientists in East Germany preparing to sue Tygart over that statement for loss of reputation. US Postal weren't a patch on the old GDR.

Good point re sky and Barry. Hadnt crossed my mind but it is a good point. Maybe some journos should grow some balls and actually mention stuff like this and question DB as well as asking about the rabo dr investigation. Maybe they are scared by Sky corp. don't like that team one bit.

It sounds as though its the 200 page summary that's going to be posted tonight for public consumption

Not impressed by Hincapie's statement. he plays it down and makes out he took too much benylin rather being involved in organised, systematic doping of numerous PEDs.
Mind you, I was never fond of him as a rider either so maybe my judgement is clouded

Balco would have to be right up there too - distribution across multiple sports and the custom synthesis of steroids.

Plus I would guess that there are raft of other programmes that sport has not (or choses not to) seen.

Nothing. I remember when Floyd said about Barry, Dave said "we asked him and he denied it" and that was that. LangerDan (I think) pointed out we should just no waste time on tests and ask people. Save a lot of time and money.

Guess it failed.

I hope Milar and Barry have got a "sorry" card in the post to Floyd.

The USPS Team doping conspiracy was professionally designed to groom and pressure athletes to use dangerous drugs, to evade detection, to ensure its secrecy and ultimately gain an unfair competitive advantage through superior doping practices.

Interesting use of language. gain an unfair advantage through superior doping, not through doping per se

guess now it's jyst waiting for the 200 pages and then to dissect that. I expect at some point the whole 1000 pages will leak too.

Yes George could have said more in his public but he's retired now and said the truth where it was needed.

Anyone been on the clinic yet, I expect the site to go into melt down

So far it's mostly people believing a (very obviously) fake Wiggins quote.
