I still don't think you like it as you've stood far away from it and put it in the shade.

I have to agree that I think it looks like it took a few drops from the ugly tree, but if it rides awesome then that's great! You don't really buy a bike to sit and look at it.

Was trying to get the background in as well lol, didnt want to stop for long to take pictures as was in a rush, yeh it's not the prettiest of bikes but it's really good fun to ride, inspires confidence as you know it can take whatever you thow at it. On my old Giant Anthem i never felt quite so confident.

Yeh is a bit haha, wanted white bars but not bothered now.

Spec wise:
Frame:medium 2006 - 7 Santa Cruz Heckler
Rear Shock: Fox DHX 5 with around 6inch travel
Front Fork: Rock Shox Sektor TK Solo Air 150mm travel
Brakes: Shimano Deore front and rear with Ashima 180mm rotor on the front and strange hope one on the back
Wheels: Hope Hoops pro 2 on Mavix ex721 rim the front and a really old donated hope hub on the back :
Image
Tyres: Maxxis High Roller 2.4 on the front (actually have a 2.7 which suprisingly fits through the fork) Maxxis Advantage 2.1 on the rear
Crank:Shimano XT
Rear Mech: Shimano SLX shadow with shimano xt shifter
CG / Bashguide: E Thirteen SS+
Pedals: Cheap as chips Wellego pedals with really big pins in, also use ritchley clipless pedals sometimes
Handlebars- whatever came on my marin bobcat trail 4 years ago
Stem: giant branded (had giant before this)
Headset: CaneCreek S40
Saddle and post: both of my old marin
Cassette: Cheapest 9 spd SRAM one

I think thats about it off the top of my head, things i wouldn't mind upgrading are the stem, bars (fancy some high riser ones) apart from that the only other thing needs upgrading is my ability haha

I have the model prior to that (mine is a 2001) and I swapped the coil shock for an RS Monarch this summer, it made a huge difference to the ride, so much easier to pedal, more composed coming down. I could have serviced the old shock and maybe got some improvement but the air is just perfect. I recommend the change to you!
Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.
