So, just watched the video:
1) I'd love to ride in Nevada.
2) I'd love to ride with Greg Lemond.
3) Those black rapha continental bikes with the pink chris king hubs sure look pretty.

Does anyone remember that story from quite a while back. Involved Greg Lemond, a massive wildfire in CA or NV, last 20 of some protected bird species - vultures? -, and Greg getting some of the blame?

Well yea and no. He was the first / only "United State-ian" to wear yellow. Alex Stieda was the first North American rider to wear yellow, in 1986.
What No Colombian/American wore it then ?

Hahaha, when people watch too many Rapha video's - not only do they acquire knowledge of useless pedantic facts, they also develop an uncompromising level of seriousness. It doesn't stop at Lance Armstrong jokes either... (oh and, refreshingly, it's no pretence - just pure untempered seriousness).

I'm going to have to stop watching these:
4) I want to ride in Alberta
5) I want to ride with Alex Stieda (what a dude!)
6) Maybe I'll just get some Chris King hubs... or a headset... or the BB....

Wilier Izoard XP "Petacchi"/ Campag Veloce/ Fulcrum Racing 5

a few do mug it up in front of the camera, but yeah, looks a great place for a ride. the cast list is to the left side of the video if my mind serves me correctly. which it rarely does.

Maybe. I tried a couple of items and wasn't so impressed. I just though it was an odd that harrydaisy said it was a brand rather than a product.

In terms of marketing, yep, pretty spot on.

Seems like a lot of ex-pros maintain their tour calorie intake long after the Champs Élysées.

I think if you watched cycling in the 80's, Lemond is a total hero. I would still say he's my all time fave cyclist and if I rode bikes I'd probably be Rapha's target audience.

x 2 on the Hero stakes!!
