using 2 bikes

Postby radiation man » Sun Nov 18, 2012 21:19 pm

i use a winter and summer bike and the summer bike is a lot better to ride then the winter one, so im thinking of selling the winter bike, ive set up both bikes as near as i can but its hard to get them same as 1 is a 56 frame and the other is a 54 frame, the 56 frame is more sloped

I think most people who have Summer and Winter bikes would say the Summer bike is the nicest? A Winter bike is normally a training bike which can take all the crap a Winter can throw at it so unless your minted you'd normally expect the Winter bike to be slightly harder work?
If the difference is down to incorrect sizing than that's a totally different question?

I have an ethical objection to owning 2 bikes.

A well maintained bike should be able to cope with winter, if you want to race you can stretch to 'race wheels' but any race wheel should be durable enough for everyday use anyway.

Keep the most comfortable frame and the best components to make up the best bike with what you have and sell the rest.

I have an ethical objection to owning two bikes as well. That's why I've got seven and possibly explains why I'm divorced ho hum

I also have an ethical objection and wish for my disgust to be noted here.

I officially and wholly object to my ownership of 4 bikes.

Banter and a little winding up, particularly of people who take themselves too seriously, is part of English culture. As for name calling, abuse or bullying on forums - that is ethically wrong.

well being something of a rare visitor to the forum I suppose I should withhold comment on the (I'm sure) broad range of his posts :) But no as I'm sure you know you leg puller you I meant the

"Banter and a little winding up, particularly of people who take themselves too seriously, is part of English culture. It depends on who one is winding up. Winding up Dr Andrew Coggan could be seen as a duty.

I made a perfectly reasonable and polite post about my ethical objections to using more than one bike which was followed by a post about trolls.

If you read the entire thread you will see that this thread has been hijacked by a few people who do not like me or my opinions. Your comment was hardly on topic.
