Help needed to choose a £1000 bike.

Postby lambpaul » Sat Nov 24, 2012 16:04 pm

Hi all I have been out of biking for quite some time (my last bike was a whyte PRST-1) and have £1000 to spend on a mountain bike but there is a hell of a lot of choice out there and Im struggling to make my mind up I would like a 29er but other than that please feel free to add any sensible suggestions.

Thanks Paul Lamb

if your budget your own money, a couple that may be of interest
though it means buying direct, but hard to beat for value for money

Im getting through works cycle scheme, I can get it from anywhere really as long they accept that. The ones Ive seen here are a Cube LTD race 29er, Giant talon 1 29er and a Whyte 629.

another couple here cube still has the best spec, though the thru axel and tapered steerer on the pinnacle would make it a contender if it was me who was looking

Evans do their own scheme, so you won't get anything from them through cyclescheme,
