Etape riders!

Postby Greg66 Tri v2.0 » Wed Nov 28, 2012 08:53 am

Any recommendations for a website that sells just Etape entry, and not some overpriced holiday package to go with it?
Swim. Bike. Run. Yup, that's definitely what I'm supposed to be doing.

Distance doesn't fit into my complex but precise training schedule, I'm afraid.

Besides, seems to be no easier to find a ticket only way into that...

Pfft. Direct entries open in december from their website http://www.sportcommunication.info/web2 ... p?langue=2

If this is a possibility I'd create a user account now and then sign up for the marmotte pretty much as soon as entries open

Cheers. Been there, registered, but ATM it's bouncing me back to the Etape website with its package tours, Possibly because registration hasn't yet formally opened. Not sure.

Having dismissed that idea 10 mins ago, not starting to toy with it.

I love French websites. They are so unconcerned about the fact that the internet is an English language thing...

Yes. I went out for a coffee at the wrong time.

564 minutes.

So, this Marmotte thing. Hard, is it?

ETA: now 280 mins. I'm rocketing to the front!

8 minutes and counting. Trouble is, the course doesn't really stir me this year. Am I missing something?

Hmmm...frozen at 15 mins

Route looking more friendly than this year's horror show from Albertville.

Mine's now been reading "more than 15 min(s)" for some considerable time.

I suppose strictly, that may mean the real wait remains 280 mins.

Just went in afresh using a different broswer, and got exactly the same message. I suspect that they've abandoned accuracy.
