Hub sets on Ebay - from Taiwan

Postby ferritic » Sat Dec 01, 2012 16:53 pm

Does anyone have any experience or feedback regarding these hubs which are available on Ebay?

Thinking of giving them a go.

Thoughts please....

Many of these hubs are made by Chin Haur - also sold as Dati and Rotaz. Built-up some CX wheels with a pair of Rotaz hubs and they've been fine. Don't expect them to last forever, but at the fraction of a cost of DT or Chris Kings, who cares. If you're worried about durability, go for Novatec Superlight ones.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

These are Bitex hubs. I have mixed experiences... Some have been fine, while some front ones were defective ( faulty hub shell). When you buy from eBay in china forget about return/refund.
You can take a risk... At the end of the day Strada wheels sell them for 120 a pair, I seem to recall? As above, novatec hubs are more reliable
