Bike specific tools

Postby migrantwing » Thu Jan 10, 2013 09:37 am

Browsing the web over the last few days as I need a few tools. A chain whip is one (although I may make one myself using one handle from an old pair of wire cutters, and an old chain) and the other is a BB removal wrench. I'm stuck between Tacx tools and Cyclo (Weldtite). I noticed that the Bikehut tools that you get in Halfrauds and the Cyclo tools are exactly the same, just with different badging and a slight difference in colour. How good/bad are Halfrauds tools?

The full ring tools are nice in that they are kind to cups, but they can be quite difficult to get onto old cups. Just fyi!

We have a few bikehut tools, and they seem perfectly fine, I just avoid them more out of principle to be honest...
