Elite Qubo Power Fluid ElastoGel or CycleOps Jet Fluid Pro

Postby DeltaOneSeven » Sun Jan 13, 2013 12:41 pm

I think it's time I bought a quieter trainer (currently have CycleOps Mag)

I've narrowed my choice down to the Elite Qubo Power and the CycleOps Jet fluid - I've read the reviews and watched the YouTube stuff...

Has anybody on here tried both, or have strong recommendations either way?

I got the Qubo Power Fluid 2 weeks ago and I'm very pleased with it. Upgraded from the Tacx Sirius

First of all its a doddle to set up, comes with levellers to put on its feet if your floor is uneven. The trainer is very quiet only real noise is from the drivetrain and bike itself, as I watched the Arsenal v Man City match yesterday while pedalling away on a fairly normal volume.

It also offers alot of resistance and on the big ring it takes a good bit of effort to keep up a decent cadence. Certainly gives my legs a good work out.

I was also torn between the Jet Fluid 2/Power Fluid and the Qubo.

I went for the Elite today and should get it tomorrow.

From what I've read it offers good resistance and is quieter than the CycleOps - I'll report back later in the week...

Ordered my Qubo on Wednesday last week.It is coming from France and is being dragged up the E21 from Lyon by a team of snails. Still, I saved £40 on the best UK in stock price, but only when it turns up.

Report to follow.

Hi guys,

Did you received your Qubo fluid?
I've found a nice review here
http://www.insitutravel.com/elite-qubo- ... er-review/

Do you confirm about the noise? Is it really quiet? or just less noisy than the others?
(and if you have a decibel meter to measure the noise?, dcrainmaker blog already measured the noise of some trainers, around 80db for all trainers)

thanks!

That's a great write up - after using the Elite for a few weeks, I would agree with everything that's said...
