Guess I'll find out when I get home.

There is still an option of minimum £500 sponsorship, I think, if you don't get a place. I should be able to do that....

do they confirm by post? couldn't they just send an email (application was online after all) and save a shed load of money for charity straight away?!

I've not received anything yet, but you can log into the site and it will tell you if your entry is successful or not.
