Turbo trainer sessions

Postby DEZZA53 » Thu Nov 01, 2012 15:12 pm

I have recently broken my hand and therefore unable to ride my road bike for many weeks.
In order to maintain some level of fitness (normally out 3 times a week and taking in a sportive when appropriate) I have borrowed a turbo trainer which is set up in the garage.
I have no experience of this so, how long do you spend on it ? do you spin at a constant cadence ? do you do short harder intervals to relieve the boredom ?
Ideas or thoughts please
thanks

www.turbotraining.co.uk will give you some good ideas.

In general, anywhere from 30-60 mins can provide useful sessions.

Often the limiting factor is boredom more than anything else. If you find this is you, choose a plan that changes things pretty often (every few minutes) to keep you focused.

This is a really good one to keep you focused!
