Bike Travel Bag

Postby Islwyn » Mon Dec 24, 2012 18:16 pm

Hello you lot,

I frequently travel from London to Devon with my bike on First Great Western trains, however I'm officially fed up of crapping my pants every time the train pulls up at a station with the thought of...

"Please don't steal my bike from the bike carriage"
"Please don't steal my bike from the bike carriage"

As you're unable to lock them on the service, therefore I'm opting for a bike bag instead, so I can bring onto the train with me!

Does anyone own one and can suggest one that's decent? In an ideal world all I want to do is take off the wheels, rear mech and twist handle bars. Hard case or soft is fine, budget up to about £250/300.

I've spotted a couple good looking ones on the net but you can't beat a fellow cyclist suggestion!

Go for something lightweight and well-padded IME. Hard cases are heavy to lug about. The Evoc one gets good reviews.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
