Bottom bracket help/ compatibilty

Postby ukracer » Sun Jan 13, 2013 08:19 am

Looking to change chainset on my 2011 Addict
It came with Shimano Dura-Ace Integrated SMI-FC 7800 i believe.
Looking to fit Sram red or force but will it be a straight fit or will i need a new bottom bracket also.
If so what size/ type would i need?

The FC 7800 is a standard threaded fit.

You will need a GXP BB and suitable cranks to fit.

Have Read of th info on Parktools.
"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Any of the gxp bb from sram will fit. Its a simple swap. You need hollow tech bb tool with a special thing to remove the cap for your shimano crank.
