Again? He did that two weeks ago.

(He's not stepping down, just moving to a 'consultant' role - whatever that means)

Needed back at that round, wooden thing that Iain hates so much.

And yes, it was out 2 weeks ago, but The Telegraph has gone all Pony Express.
(Guardian too, it seems)

Yeah, with Dan Hunt going to Sky and Matt Parker going to rugby they're a little short handed. The usual post Olympics shake up.

Yeah - his new profile was on the Sky website couple of weeks ago and we discussed it

He's always been more on the track side, and ran that alongside jointly coaching Wiggins since Oct 2010. Suspect he'll still be working with Wiggins.

Cyclingnews have put a nasty little angle of their own on it - 'good day for bad news' kind of thing':

'Sky’s announcement of Sutton’s changing role comes on a day when the focus of the cycling media has been turned largely towards events in the United States, where Lance Armstrong’s doping confession was televised on Thursday evening.'

Whereas of course its been in the public domain since early Jan - and VN posted an article on it at the time.

Knobheads at CN, have to say

There's another v senior coach who will need a spell of family time and is (v long) commuting, this year.
As you say, post Olympic shake up.

Footnote:
Unknown Chinese rider broke the women's flying 200 metres world record, this evening, at the Mexico world cup event.
10 girls went sub 11 seconds in QFying, so there's work to be done.
(not that this would concern the Asylum. )

I felt it was pretty decent at Glasgow; fairly upbeat, although the Oly returnees were pretty stale.
The prospect then, of 5 weeks in Perth must have helped.
Certainly seemed to have put SS in a generous mood.

True Rich, but Miriam Welte's old wr was set in Colorado.
A number of newbies under the magic 11", so it must also have been ideal conditions trackside.
In anycase she got KO'd in round 1 of racing proper.
