Do people actually buy that over-priced trash. shoot that money could go on your bike, you know that thing that actually gets you round the roads and over the hills. Lol.

The person you refer gets 10%, if they then spend £100 or over you get a 10% discount.

That being said anyone need a referral for a purchase over £100 send me a PM with your name and e-mail address 8)

No seriously if you need to ride a bike looking like your going to a wedding Rapha is the top trashy wear but when I have a spare £200 I spend it on a bike component or bike tools. Each to his own but whenever I see people out wearing Rapha gear they usually are fat bank managers or business types playing at it. Again each to his own, I just dont get it is all.

I only tend to buy Rapha stuff when it's reduced, but it is very nice. It's comfortable, lasts longer than any other clothing I've ever bought and they offer a free repair service, which is great if you ask me. Most of the other people I know who wear Rapha are pretty serious cyclists. I see plenty of people who have spent a fortune on aero wheels but are too fat too keep up with a slow club run on a hill, so the same can be said about components!

Yep, doesn't surprise me, but again, that's not just true of Rapha stuff. For reasons I can't quite work out, lots of stuff - Garmins, for example - seems to sell on eBay for above the price it's available for elsewhere online.

I guess its that "winning" feeling they get when they capture the prize.

I bought an Ultura Night Vision jacket. Cost over 60 quid. Constantly getting too hot, sweating which condenses in the jacket and settles on the base layer and then as soon as come to a stop I'm freezing cold.

Bought the rapha softshell and the difference is night and day. It looks that good I wear it even when not strictly 'on the bike' , performs superbly by keeping me warm, dry and fully regulating my temperature. Simply, I've never owned a better piece of kit.

Picked mine up in the recent classics sale. Repair service, quality and performance make this easily worth the extra cash.

If anyone wants a refer a friend code, hit me up and I'll link you up. Rapha stuff in the main is not over-priced. It's expensive yes. But.......you get what you pay for.

Happy to help out with a referal here too.

Rapha haters can moan all they want and convince themselves that it’s all made in China from a point and click stock catalogue. Rapha are smart ba$tards when it comes to marketing but the clothing is exceptionally designed and manufactured (in many places around the world) and it lasts for years! You pay for quality.

So you say people are basically wasting their money by buying expensive clothes, but yet you just waste money upgrading a component for no real reason? At least the clothes will be used well. And "business types" is a problem? I wasn't aware of that, I guess since i'm in the business world I shouldn't ride a bike? Are people not allowed to cycle because of their job?

I smell a strong bout of jealousy from you.

Anyone know when the spring/summer gear is likely to launch?

I've got gift vouchers burning a hole from Christmas but want to spend them wisely on the new collection.

As for the expense/ brand debate, I like to have the must have brands while out on my bike just as I do when I go out on a Saturday night! If that makes me shallow or less of a man/cyclist so be it! Cyclists are a vain bunch in general, I'm sure I'm not the only one!
