Conti GP 4s 28mm + rim width

Postby ladeside09 » Sun Feb 10, 2013 13:21 pm

Guys, would I be okay to use the above tires on my 13mm road Rims or would I be best going for 25mm?

Any feedback welcome

Assuming the 13mm is the INSIDE dimension, then you can use 28's, although this would be considered at the extreme of recommendations.

If you are intending to be 100% on road, then definitely go for 25mm, as this is the optimal rolling resistance/comfort balance. The 28s would be really for if you were envisaging a reasonable amount of trail/bike tracks, where the extra size will protect both your comfort and your rims.
