Pro 4 service course

Postby alec44 » Fri Feb 15, 2013 23:47 pm

My current tires need replacing and I'm looking at getting some pro4's after reading some pretty good reviews. I've also had a quick go with some pro 3's and was very impressed. The only thing stopping me is whether I can use them on a turbo. I read online they wear particularly badly due to heat from turbos, does anyone have any experience with this? Would you play it safe and go with the Conti 4000s over the pro 4 service course?

Thaks alot

They're all terrible on the turbo and won't last at all. Buy a dedicated turbo tyre- they're cheap and will save you loads on good tyres.

dedicated turbo tyres - like the blue tacx ones, have a turbo specific profile, they have a broader flatter face, no good for corners, but thats not the issue. And pro race 4 SC's - yes a good tyre

A turbo will make mincemeat of any decent lightweight tyre. Either use an old spare on the back of get a turbo specific tyre - though it is a pain if you're having to change between the two all the time. A second, secondhand cheap, basic rear wheel?
