I'm a fan of double tap. I also prefer push:push on mtb too. separating changing gear and braking makes sense.

SRAM is brilliant, however, it's not as flexible in terms of slight misadjustments in indexing, as its not possible to feather changes like you can with shimano.

If it doesn't quite shift you can push the lever a little bit further to nudge it into gear.

Road - Dolan Preffisio
MTB - On-One Inbred

I have no idea what's going on here.

haha, fair dos.

I like the amount of throw back on the sram shifters, much shorter than shimano, and the down shift is super snappy. the upshift is also effortless.

the reach adjustment is really good. i do wish the brake lever would move as well. but the double tap is nice.

I went from Shimano to SRAM, i would never go back to Shimano, would go back to down tube shifters rather than Shimano. I have never needed to feather a change on SRAM (unlike Shimano where it was a common occurrence)

I did and would never go back to Shimano because of double tap, but other than that it's the same really. SRAM is actually louder (although I like the noise) and has more of a "forced" shifting feel. It's all down to preference. Shimano Tiagra vs SRAM Red is not a fair comparison at all though.

Both the gear lever and brake lever are reach adjustable. You do need to adjust the gear lever first though!

I've just switched from 9 speed Tiagra to Rival. Absolutely loving double tap.

Oh, yes, most certainly.

After having made the transition to SRAM, I've been getting laid more often. There must be a correlation between the two surely.

Excellent more money and honeys. SRAM is truly awesome. Feeling really epic now!

I meant earlier the brake lever move in the same motion as the shifter pedal like for shimano up shift. But that may just be me still having shimano muscle memory.
