Cube Agree GTC SL 2012 or 2013

Postby ScottyXTUK » Thu Mar 07, 2013 19:54 pm

Hi

I'm in a real quandry at the mo as to which bike to buy.

I thought I had settled on the GTC SL here:
http://www.tweekscycles.com/bikes/road- ... -bike-2013

I love the colour and everything seems good about it to me.

However I have since seen the 2012 SL for sale at roughly the same price and see that it is a little lighter than the 2012 model and has better components I think? It's 7.6kg as compared to the 2013's 8kg.

However I'm not keen on the colour but it is lighter so I don't know what to do :?:

Will the weight difference and components difference be noticeable when riding? I'm confused as to why Cube have sort of downgraded the components on the 2013 version too.

Any opinions on which you would go for? It will help me make my mind up bearing in mind I will be making a purchase imminently.

Regards
Scotty

Cheers

Depending on size and availability, you can get a 2012 model with Di2 for around the same price as the 2012 model listed above. I've got one and it cost me £2250 at the back end of last year.

A bit more expensive than I saw a month ago but stock is very low. Still a great price.

Thanks for the info, the colour of the 2012 model is beginning to grow on me so I think I might well go for it now.

Anyone else got anything they'd like to add?

Cube's are generally great bikes, the GTC seems to be built more for comfort rather than racing so if you're going to use it more for longer rides and maybe sportives, you can't go wrong.
