after a fairly lengthy lay off from cycling, due to illness, i have started going out again this week. Since starting going out again i have noticed that the padding in my shorts/leggings seems to shift to the left. Could it just be because i'm a bit fat at the moment? Just one last thing and i'm sure its been covered to death in many, many posts, roughly how long should it take to get my backside used to a road bike saddle again?

Regarding getting your bum used to the saddle, I have found that it is about the fourth ride for me that things settle down. Interestingly, it hurts more on the second ride than the first after a lay off - it seems to accentuate the aches and pains from the first ride.
