Accident insurance for when riding my MTB

Postby Concorde » Thu May 02, 2013 07:00 am

Hi,

Just wondering if anybody has any (suspect you have) and who you've got it with? I want to get some. I am not self-employed but the nature of my work means that if I were to be injured I would not be able to work and would not get paid for those days I was out injured. So some insurance would be nice in case of a bad fall (especially with summer coming and the trails getting faster!)

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks

Just get normal off work illness cover.....not cheap though, then you're covered for everything!

Loads of personal injury cover policies available, I can't remember off the top of my head who I'm with but I've just got broken bone/hospital stay compensation cover as where I work has a decent policy on illness cover/pay

as above, however check any exclusions. lots of policies don't cover winter sports / extreme sports etc

Okay, cheers.

I had a recommendation from a mate who uses Metlife. He pays £10 per month and they've paid him out twice. Is £10 per month about the going rate?

Cheers
