Bike fit in Scotland

Postby Doc James » Fri May 24, 2013 21:37 pm

Looking for a professional bike fit. Riding Giant Defy Advanced 3. Did Etape Caledonia earlier this month and have slight cyclist palsy left hand. Feel I may need shorter stem as reaching a little for the hoods. 6'3" on a L frame. I know Dales offer the Specialized BG fit and Edinburgh Tri Centre have a fit service. Happy to travel from Glasgow if recommended. Any suggestions welcomed. Cheers

Maybe give Velocity bikes in Stirling a try. They do a fitting service and have Cervelo,Focus,Willier & Giant bikes in stock. Was in a few weeks back and the guy said they get you on a bikefit thingyme and see what your best position is etc etc.

+ 1 for Velocity 44 in Stirling.
I got a Retul fit early this year for my TT Bike & I did my road bike setup at the same time.
I've just bought a new Cervélo P5 for TTs and the Retul fit was done again to set me up on it. It got me very close to the correct position first time with saddle height & layback & stem length etc.

+2 for Velocity 44.

I got fitted for my 2 bikes earlier in the year. Only place I could find in Scotland that does the full Retul fit. It's not cheap, but money well spend in my opinion.
