Brake Barrel adjuster siezed

Postby t4tomo » Mon Aug 19, 2013 09:15 am

So exactly that, I went to tweak up the brakes (stock bianchi reparto corse calipers) and the barrel adjust wont budge, nor will it after soaking in WD40. The balck plastic bit wont slide up to enable it to turn the screw.

Any idea or can you get these as spares from anywhere? My google fu doesn't appear to be able to track them down.

Not Wiggle etc - can only find them for MTB brake leavers by the power of google.

LBS worth a shout though

It's for a Shimano caliper but I'd have thought it would work.

Mind you, if you can't get the old one out...

Or you could upgrade to Ultegra! http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/shimano-ulte ... prod29969/
