29er FS

Postby RandG » Sat Oct 05, 2013 21:50 pm

I'm pretty much convinced that my next bike will be a 29er FS, problem being is which one. I've decided I want a trail type, which in general comes with about 120/130 travel. The choice however is a tough one, although I think I've narrowed it down a bit, so looking for others opinions on the choices.

Lapierre aprox £2500

Transition approx £2300

Scott approx £2800

They all have approx the same geometry, fork travel and spec. and I like the look of them all, which is also very important :D

Opinions please.

They are easier to ride for a non skilled person like myself.
They are faster to ride for a non skilled person like myself.
They are a skills equalizer for a non skilled person like myself.
They wee-wee over stuff I struggle with on a 26.

there is probably more reasons, but none of them is helping me with my reason for posting this topic, hence why I have posted it, so if we could move on to the bikes I linked that would be just great.

well you had better hurry up and get one this year as most makers will be dropping then in the next year or two.

one has already said no 29ers for 2015 IIRC. sure more to follow soon.

Yep, I already have a 29er.

Now, I'm looking for some advice/opinions of the three above bikes, if you can assist, great, post it up, if not, can you or anyone else just move along there, nothing for you to see here.

Depends what you ride, but I'd choose the genius 930 or the zesty 429, but then I'm also loving my Fuel Ex7 29er (except I had to change the tires)
