2014 Aero road bike options ??

Postby Ricey155 » Sun Oct 27, 2013 15:53 pm

I need a new bike in 2014 and i fancy an aero style frame

I started testing the Starley JKS AR I like the design and stiffness, what are the the options out there for AERO ??

Giant propel looks nice but no UI2 option on the cheaper end, got a max 3k to spent Starley fits in well with UI2 at £2900

so any others worth a look at ??

good stuff - already scanned the canyons good kit, only downside is a trial ride - GERMANY or possibly LONDON

being in Coventry long way to travel just to have a go, Planet X no DI2 /Ui2 option plus already own a PX. Scott Foil haven't thought of that :-) no trek's overpriced under spec'd.

Storck stuff looks decent - so many choices need to ride them all see which fits the best. 6ft 2" 79kg long legs Starley felt like a kids bike :-)

New Cervelo S3 w/ Ultegra comes in under £3k, although the Ui2 version is quite a bit over.
Personally I love Cervelos, mainly because the geometry fits me like a glove - it's all in the fit.

The new 2014 Felt AR. If the claims and aero data are to be believed, it's a new benchmark.

I love mine too! Took her out for a pre breakfast 20 on Saturday morning when there was just a breath of wind and the roads were lovely and dry. We were flying! :D The Foil gets the Zipps for extra aero ;-)

Not up here on the East Coast of sunny Scotland (where it's blue sky at the moment). There were a few showers over the weekend and I was blown home yesterday afternoon when it got a bit gusty, but the wild weather has pretty much passed us by. Saturday morning was amazing. Perfect autumn weather.

Another vote for the foil, sadly the weather is beating me today so it's staying on the wall.....you might still get a 2013 foil as they were all discounted recently
