brake adaptor help

Postby james51174 » Mon Oct 28, 2013 17:08 pm

hi guys...i am stuck trying to fit an IS calliper to a post mount fork

now i have found this. .http://www.bicyclehero.com/gb/shimano-7 ... 37000.html

which looks like it will do the job

but the problem/dilemma i have is as follows

I have XTR 965 callipers which are IS and 2013 Marzocchi 55 micro switch ta forks which are PM, using a 180 rotor

but i have seen that shimano make a marz specific adaptor found here...http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shim ... prod107906

(although the one in the picture is actually for boxxer forks)

the code for the only marz adaptor i can find is SM-MA-F203P/Z

but this adaptor is for marz forks, with a 203 rotor and a post mount calliper

i need mine for an IS calliper, which would be something like SM-MA-F180S/Z

does anyone know what i can do?

please help!!!

So post (fork)to IS (caliper) 180 adaptor loads and loads out there.

thank you for your quick rply :)

yes i have ordered exactly that....SM-MA-F180S/P

but i heard that marzocchi post mounts are actually different, and require a special mount (aparently its only marz forks and rockshox boxxer forks that are different)

If it is a standard 6" post mount most will fit some might need a tickle with a file.
