If that's the way you like it ;-). Is a good deal, and you can swap hoses if you need to.

The hoses are so long that unless you have an xxxl size frame and 300mm forks you will need to cut them down anyway.

I thought it was the Yanks that did it weird? I only run a back brake on my bmx so use a RH lever. Big bike is RH front LH rear though.

Anyway, I have SLX brakes and highly recommend them. I think Merlin are doing the XT M785 set for 20 quid more, but without rotors.

Sorry for the dumbness, so are we saying with the hoses needing to be cut down I could set it up for LH front RH back?

Cheers

The brake levers have identical hose fittings, and identical calipers - the only difference is the length of the hose twixt lever and caliper. The shorter hose goes to the front, the longer hose to the back. Both hoses will likely be too long for your bike so they'll need shortening.

You'll need to undo the hose fitting on tyhe caliper to do this job, so once the hose is the correct length, simply refit it to whichever brake lever you feel is appropriate. Simples! After shortening the hoses you may need to bleed the brakes.

There are plenty of guides on how to do this job on the internet.

Easier to undo the hoses at the lever end than caliper, also the best way to avoid needing a bleed kit afterwards!

You are aware the disc is Shimano Centre Lock fixing and not the six bolt fixing are you not?

Levi

I didn't notice that to be honest, I'm more tempted with the Xt that CitizenLee pointed out on Merlin, these come without rotors so I could re-use my existing, I would probably buy new rotors also though.
