How Happy Are You At Work?

Postby arran77 » Fri Mar 21, 2014 11:49 am

A Cabinet Office survey has revealed the most satisfying job in the UK is a vicar and that there is a link between earnings and life-satisfaction, some quite well-paid jobs are populated by those with low levels of wellbeing - and vice versa.....

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-26671221

As a mechanical estimator the closest thing on the list for me would be a QS at 234th out of 274, probably explains why I'm such a miserable tw@t

Where do you come on the list, any brickies or vicars here

What a crock of Sh!t. Where did they get the figures to do their mean salary calculation? Plucked out of the air looking at some of them!

Was looking to become a Border Force Officer or Paramedic. As Border Force Officer isn't listed I guess Paramedic it is! Currently in sales and that is almost bottom!

Likewise, specifically the Chartered accountant one which surprised me a little (and I'm only just 24 in my first industry role).

Not sure whether I'm 2, 45, or 89 so I'll take the option that raises Pinno's blood pressure the most  :P

I thought I had a fairly cushy job until I just found out I'm only being paid about half of my "list value"

My job's a mixture of 3, 141, 175 & 181, which could explain why I'm happier some days than others :D I'm glad I didn't chuck it in to be a driving instructor now
