A Special Police Constable has been appointed to patrol Afan Forest Park in
Phil Wall has the same powers as regular officers and will work alongside forest crime officer PC Andrew Scourfield, park rangers and Forestry Commission staff to prevent and detect crime at the popular trail centre.
He will be based at the Afan Argoed visitor centre (start of the Penhydd and The Wall trails) and will patrol the car parks, cycleways and tracks.
