The Jim Beam Air Downhill took place at Whistler on Wednesday on the bike park’s infamous A-Line downhill trail.
"A-Line is a really great trail to ride, but when it comes to racing on it, you need to be on point," said Lopes. "It's a technical race and with the level of riders here, every mistake counts."
In the pro women’s race, Whistler local Rebecca McQueen took the top podium spot with a time of 4:51.05 ahead of Micayla Gatto of
"I love A-Line, it's a fun course and I just charged it. I think the rain we had the other day helped the course a lot," commented McQueen after her win.
