Although originally designed for times when cycling shorts contained real chamois, these lubricants are still a great way of minimising uncomfortable rubbing between thighs and saddles. If you've never tried one, you ought to.
USA-made Chamois Butt’r is a thick, non-greasy, scent-free cream that makes life easier on long Sunday bike rides. It’s a good cream, with a cool, soothing feel, but not the best we’ve tried.
It felt like it needed to be re-applied after about two hours, so we still prefer other chamois creams, such as Assos Chamois Creme, which seem to last longer.
