Simple to set up but main appeal is definitely cosmetic rather than computing power for cost

It's no pocket-money bargain, but if you like your data display more Early Learning Centre than Bang & Olufsen then you’ll love Knog’s simple, but effective, take on bike telemetry. The big, bold coloured (black, blue, red, white and pink are available) silicon casing on both head and sensor is a love or hate aspect of the NERD.

Loops built into the cases mean you can strap them into place on your bars and fork leg without any need for extra brackets, screws or zip tie trimming. You can turn the display round inside the case so it works on stems too and wireless operation means no wires to worry about either.

Current speed is the fixed main display with big easy to read numbers and an average speed bar graph at the side. The top line display then toggles between clock, trip distance, ride time and overall distance by pressing the whole head unit. That’s not a lot of data for nearly £40.
