Silva Alpha 6 Light (10) | $496.38
BikeRadar verdict
"Versatile multi-purpose light, but the mounts and battery performance are poor"
This new adventure racing lamp trades multi-sport versatility for pure mountain bike performance. The chunky triangulated head packs in three Luxeon K2 LEDs to give a spread that’s midway between a spot and a flood.
This is okay for medium speed trail work or riding stuff you already know, but its lack of distance throw lets it down in faster situations, and it lacks sharpness on more technical trails.
Despite a bulky, awkward to fit battery, its run time is surprisingly short before it automatically drops to single LED running to conserve life.
The bar mount is very basic and the stick-on, strapless helmet mount next to useless. The bright-brightest-dimmest output menu is counter-intuitive too.

Credibility of tests on here is really up in the air.
So this lamp costs THREE HUNDRED POUNDS ?
Its performance seems mediocre, and it still gets Three stars out of Five ?

THIS is far more in depth - and almost a year old as well.
Lumens on this is about 450.
Compare with the magicshine thats 600 or so ? And that light is £50 ?

I'm just thinking who'd want to spend £300 on a light that looks like that????

Thats just rubbish for the money, shame the L1 was/is a cracking head torch even today mainly due to the optics with no lumens wasted.
STUPID MONEY!!!
