Superb little light ! I've had one now for a little while, albeit the slightly older version without the power out facility for the additional rear light. But to be frank ! this little beast has almost made my Hope LED (2) redundant. It has a great spread but its intensity is that you have a brilliant spot too. This little light comes into its own if used as a helmet light with an additional bar mount light to cover the wider spread for fast single track riding. It is also more than capable of being used on its own as a comuting/roadie light. I wouldn't even consider anything else if i were back in the market for a light of this capability !!!

Brilliant light, great complement to a decent bar mounted light, but only niggle is ive seen a few reviews that state the maxx 2 joystick comes with the rear micro led, and it doesnt, or at least mine didnt. Still great tho.

Superb, mounted on the helmet it happily illuminates my 19 mile round trip which ranges from rural darkness to city lights.
I bought it direct from Exposure whose service was exemplary.
The new model has the power outlet for the rear light or remote control, as far as I know both of those are extras and not included with the basic kit.

Fantastic size and weight. Easy to carry in your pocket when not used. Great balance between compact and brightness. Use it on unlit country lanes for commuting . Enough light on high and medium beam to see potholes in advance. Only gripe is the run time on the maximum beam but that has been solved with the piggyback external battery. Running mine for a year and no problems, leaks or misting.

Just received this helmet light today and quality looks great. Bought the white eye also but that knocks burn time down to 1.5 hrs - Going to buy a piggy back back up single cell battery so after 1.5hrs of 480 lumens will then get further 3 hours at 240. Also notice from the website that if you plug the piggy back in to Joystick it will charge it up and equal out the battery levels in both units. An excellent addition to handlbar light for off road riding. For road riding the red eye rear light is a great idea. Overall a very well made and designed system. Also like the 2 year warranty with on line registartion.
