Way more useful than our beam shots would suggest but not for twisty trails

The small white head and equally compact battery keep weight low and they’re both easy to fit. The white colour also makes it easier to find the light in a dark car park or CamelBak if you’re using it as a back up. In common with most smaller wattage lights, the beam is designed more for road use, with a surprisingly powerful but tightly focused light patch.

This gives a great reach down the trail considering the price just sneaks over the £100 mark, and if you just need something that’ll warn you of any fallen trees, big puddles and so on on familiar trails then it’s fine. The dim peripheral area is made more distracting by random halo patterns so more technical, twisty or entirely new trails need treating with caution. Epic battery life lets you run it full beam for most rides, although output does dim noticeably as the battery drains.
